responsible for delivering bids in accordance with internal process and procedures as evolved for the local context. working with sales teams to support capture strategies, bid management resourcing schedules and plans to deliver the bid to time, cost and quality (tcq).
establishing and growing a bid function which is aligned to the strategic direction of the business to include bid managers, proposal writers, and engineers.
this role is crucial in coupling the sales and delivery functions of the business together in an integrated and predictable way and will therefore also be involved in contributing to defining the ‘potential’ resourcing requirements of the cds function (including project managers and engineering & technical staff)
this role is a key position for rohde & schwarz australia (rsaus) in the achievement of the business strategy.
your tasks
- deliver bids to time, cost and quality
- establish market-leading bid/tender/proposal strategies/tools/methodologies that gain buy-in from the business
- lead and manage resources applied to bid teams to deliver and ensure consistently high-quality bids
- work with stakeholders to convert bid strategies into compliant, winning bids for learning and development solutions
- effectively manage the performance and development of all direct reports
- establish effective reporting and analyse performance metrics for the function
- design, develop and manage workforce plans to support bid and capture activities
- establish the bid tendering requirements from the sales managers and business development managers locally and internationally.
- architect bid management solutions and strategies to meet tender requirements
- plan, define resource demand and assign tender resources to meet tender objectives and milestones
- support the tender until contract award, and facilitate transition of the project to programs
- support the sales campaign plans, owned and operated by the sales and business development managers, to enable detailed tender planning
- support to capture strategy
- be accountable for bid / no bid reviews
- work with division leads (internationally and locally) to communicate local requirements, and seek involvement in international activities where agreed.
- ensure win themes are expressed in the bid response
- be responsible for coordinating the offer release process
